LEARN

Learning at Avara is not classroom-based.
It is lived, observed, and practiced on real land — in real conditions, alongside the people who work it every day.

Avara Learn is the knowledge-sharing arm
of everything we are building.

We believe that practical, accessible agroforestry knowledge has the power to transform landscapes and livelihoods across the Kavango region — and beyond. Our training centre exists to make that possible: a dedicated space where farmers, community members, conservation organisations, and land stewards can come to learn, practice, and take what they've learned home.

We are not there yet. But we are building — step by step, with the same intention we give to the land.

What to Expect

The learning has already begun.

A group of people, including women and children, gathered outdoors on a farm or rural area, listening to a man with a beard and gray shirt. The background features a large tree, green plants, and a cloudy sky.

Even before the training centre is complete, Avara has become a place where knowledge is shared. We have hosted practical agroforestry trainings in collaboration with two of Namibia's leading conservation and environmental organisations — TOSCO, a movement of responsible tourism businesses driving real impact across Namibia, and the Namibia Nature Foundation (NNF), committed to conservation, sustainable agriculture, and community resilience across the country.

These collaborations have brought people onto the land to learn directly from what is growing here — and confirmed what we have always believed…

…that the most powerful classroom is the land itself.
